Detailed Answer
We believe in being upfront about what every job involves. Most repairs can be done right at your location. But some jobs require specialized shop equipment, and we've got that covered too.
Jobs That Require a Lift
Some repairs require the vehicle to be raised several feet off the ground for extended periods on a hydraulic lift. Full transmission rebuilds, complete suspension overhauls, frame and structural work, and major engine removal and rebuild jobs all fall into this category. These aren't driveway jobs no matter who's doing them.
The difference with Glacier Peak Auto is that you don't need to find another shop. Robert will pick up your vehicle, transport it to our private shop where we have a full lift and the equipment to handle these bigger jobs, complete the work, and return the vehicle to you when it's done. You never have to coordinate with a second mechanic or wonder if the work is being done right.
Tire Mounting and Balancing
Tire mounting and balancing requires specialized machines that aren't practical to bring on a mobile service call. We can inspect your tires, check tread depth, and identify issues on site. For the actual mount and balance, we'll handle the logistics so you don't have to make a separate trip.
Everything Else, We Handle On Site
Outside of those situations, our mobile service covers a wide range of work right at your location. Brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Battery, starter, and alternator replacement. Full diagnostic scans and electrical troubleshooting. Oil changes, coolant flushes, and fluid services. Belt and hose replacement. Fuel system repairs. Spark plugs and ignition work. Sensor replacements. And much more.
Robert carries professional grade diagnostic tools and equipment in the service vehicle. If your vehicle has a problem, we can diagnose it on site and determine the best way to get it fixed, whether that's in your driveway or at our shop. Either way, Glacier Peak Auto handles it start to finish.
If you're not sure what your repair involves, just call us. We'll give you a straight answer and take care of the rest.
